Sip delicious coffee from Thailand at Akha Ama Coffee Roasters Tokyo

The coffee culture in Japan is still relatively new; however, many cafes have been popping up in neighborhoods like Kagurazaka and Kuramae in Tokyo. In this feature, we introduce a cafe that sells coffee beans straight from Chiang Mai in Thailand. Akha Ama Coffee Roasters Tokyo opened in Kagurazaka, Tokyo, in July 2020 and is its first overseas branch.

Most of the coffee beans sold here have fruity notes and if you like this flavor, then you'll love the coffee here.

The store has subtle Japanese architectural features with large windows to let the light in.

Let's check it from the inside.

The warm tones of wood and dark flooring matched with minimalist furniture give it a Scandinavian feel.

If you've traveled to Chiang Mai, then you'll understand how the decor is a reflection of the slow life associated with the Thai countryside.

There are counter seats and a few tables indoors as well as a seating area outside.

The shop also has a Thailand souvenir corner.

You can buy Thai coffee beans in the cutest packaging.

Whether you order a latte or a frappucino, you will be served the best quality made with freshly-roasted coffee beans.

If you like a wee sweet with your coffee, you can also enjoy some desserts. How about stopping here to relax after a shopping experience in Kagurazaka?
