Tapioca Land Café, a boba café in Shin-Okubo is selling world's most expensive boba: Da Hong Pao Tapioca Milk Tea. Sold for 10,000 yen (around US$92, tax excluded) per portion, this boba is only available for limited amount only.

The boba is made of Da Hong Pao tea; a variant of oolong tea grown in the renowned tea terroir of Wuyi, China. A kilogram of this tea is said to go for over a million dollars. Crazy, isn't it? If you're curious, you can stop by Tapioca Land Café in Shin-Okubo to try it if you have the budget.

 

Even if you don't have the budget, you can also try other types of boba sold here, which most are sold for 500 yen (tax excluded) per portion. ?
