JR Harajuku Station to be demolished next year

We all know, or at least have heard of JR Harajuku Station, don't we? The quaint wooden architecture that stands out in Harajuku is surely unforgettable.

Built in 1924, JR Harajuku Station is the oldest surviving wooden station in Tokyo. Since the station is too old and not fire resistant, it is to be demolished and rebuilt next year after the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.

Although people are sad to see this amazing architecture go, safety remains a top priority for all of us. Don't forget to capture this legendary station in a photo when it's still there!
