Visit the Rugby World Cup Fanzone for picking amazing souvenirs

The 48th Rugby World Cup is on in Japan and fans from all over the world have arrived! Even if you don't get a chance to go for a match, you can still buy official goodies as souvenirs. There is something for every age group including character-collaboration goods.
The mascots are Ren and G - two lion-like creatures called Shishi in Japanese mythology. They have been said to ward off evil spirits! We visited the Tokyo Sports Square outside Yurakucho station (close to Tokyo Station).

Let's see what you can buy here:

Daruma-shaped mascots Ren-G

Daruma are a common souvenir from Japan.

Rugby balls

There are a wide range of rugby balls available including these with cherry blossoms and other Japanese motifs. One of the most popular products! (Cost: 3500 yen)
The one with Ren-G is just as popular and these will be sold out quite soon!

O-mamori (Lucky Charms)

When you visit temples and shrines in Japan, you can buy similar lucky charms.
We absolutely loved the one that features victory. This one cost about 900 yen!

Cups

One of the most practical souvenirs: one side of the cup has cherry blossoms, a tori and the other Ren-G.

Adhesive plasters

Wouldn't it be amazing to use these during the world cup?

Apparel

From T-shirts to caps, you can find clothing for kids too.
The arm and wrist bands are budget friendly!

Masu

Something slightly more Japanese, this is a masu which is used to place a small sake cup.

Special Kimekomi Dolls

These are the most expensive product costing over 140,000 yen! Kimekomi is a traditional Japanese technique used to make dolls.

Other than souvenirs, you can also watch matches here.
Or take photos with the mascots!
And even dress up like one!

Of course, there is help in various languages. You can ask any questions you may have. There is also a British fish and chips shop right outside! Hope you get a chance to visit this amazing venue and cheer along.
