Tulips in all the possible colors you can imagine at the Hitachi Seaside Park

The Hitachi Seaside Park is most known for the sprawling nemophila-covered hills but in spring, it is also home to about 2.5 million tulips. The Hitachi Seaside Park is an ideal one-day getaway from Tokyo.

Located in an area called Tamago no Mori (Egg Forest), you can see plenty of tulips in a variety of shades.

Nestled under the greenery of massive trees, your eyes will be dazzled by the riot of color.

The flowers create a beautiful backdrop for photos and is a hit among couples.

You can also see roses, lavender, narcissus in this area.

This area is quite close to the main gate which makes it quite popular. The best time to see the tulips is from mid-April to mid-May.

The best way to navigate through the park is by using the rental bicycles available at 400 yen for three hours, 500 yen for a whole day. For tandem bicycles, you pay the amount for two people.

Another option is to take the sea side train, which costs 600 yen for a day, but the queues can be exhausting.

No matter when you visit, you're bound to see crowds during this time. However, make sure to avoid visiting during the Golden Week holidays in Japan.
