The mont blanc is made using chocolate cream, chocolate ganache and European chestnuts. Sprinkled with chocolate shavings and cacao powder, you get hints of sweetness and sourness through the cassis jelly too. The chocolate-coated base is supposed to be similar to a meringue, but felt like cake; having said that, the balance with the rich cream is exquisite. We loved the aroma of cacao and chestnut the minute we opened the packet.
