Chill with furry felines at the Edo Cat Cafe

แมว cat edo
A new cat cafe on the block: EDO CAT CAFÉ. Cat cafes and other animal cafes have been around for a while in Japan. What makes this one special? The interiors of this temporary cat cafe replicate various images from Japan's woodblock prints. Other than geisha, samurai and Mt. Fuji, cats also featured prominently in beautiful prints. The space is created such that cats are freely roam about and even get in a bit of exercise. The best part...a part of the income will directly be donated to organizations that deal with stray cats! So even if you are against the idea of animal cafes, this is a good reason to visit one!
The cafe is right in front of Ryogoku Station. Take the west exit and look to the right!

The highlight of this cafe is, as the name suggests, the atmosphere and feel of the Edo period. Each part of the cafe is a photo opportunity with cats!
