Kawaguchiko Museum of Art, located beside Lake Kawaguchi, exhibits artworks that uses Mt. Fuji as a prominent motif. Aside from the permanent exhibition, special exhibitions are held and they also exhibit the photography of Mt. Fuji. You can enjoy not only the artworks, but also an outstanding panoramic view of Lake Kawaguchi and Mt. Fuji. On the 14th of every month, the admission fee is free. Mount Fuji theme works They permanently exhibit various paintings, prints and photographs that use Mt. Fuji as a key subject. They also exhibit various works from ancient to modern art in special exhibitions held four to five times a year. You can also see the artworks by French painter Georges Rouault, and Japanese painter Yokoyama Taikan. Cafe & Museum Shop We also recommend relaxing at the cafe or in the grass field in front of the museum. In Cafe Kawaguchiko View, you can enjoy coffee and sweets made of fruit from Yamanashi prefecture with a view of the large lake in front of you. You can take a break after seeing the artworks. Mansions and streets of medieval Europe stand by the banks of a lake overlooking the great Mt. Fuji. Kawaguchiko Music Forest is a museum of music where you can see things like the biggest dance organ in the world, automatic playing instruments that were originally meant to board the Titanic and antique music boxes. In the interactive workshop, it is even possible to make an original, one of a kind music box. Rose Garden 3,500 rose bushes of 720 different kinds bloom filling the park with the scent of roses! Mount Fuji World Heritage Center, or Fujisan Sekai Isan Center is located at the foot of Mt. Fuji which is a part of Fuji-Hakone-Izu National Park. The facility shows a short movie about Mt. Fuji on a big screen and has comprehensive displays about nature and culture. The imposing Mt. Fuji can been seen from the observation deck on the second floor. It is famous as a great viewing spot of Mt. Fuji. The center offers a tour in foreign languages as it is designated as a "Visit Japan" information center. The center has four zones where you can learn about Mt. Fuji. In the Geijutsu Tenji Zone (Art Exhibition Zone), Mt. Fuji-themed artwork is displayed. In the Shizen Tenji Zone (Nature Exhibition Zone), you learn about the history of the topography and the eruptions. In the Shinko Tenji Zone (Faith Exhibition Zone), you will be introduced to the structure of the World Heritage.
