Mt. Fuji is on everyone's list of must-see places. You can climb the mountain only for two months a year but the surrounding area around the foothill is accessible all year round. Cruise and other water activities

If you want to enjoy the scenic beauty of the lake peacefully, then you can also take a ride in Kawaguchiko Yuransen Ensoleille, a pleasure boat that cruises for about 20 minutes. You can comfortably enjoy the sights without having to walk around.

A wide range of lake activities are available at Lake Kawaguchi, such as canoeing, kayaking and wakeboarding. The most popular one is flyboarding. You don't want to miss this new wave activity that allows you to fly through the air with the help of water pressure.

From nature to art: Kawaguchiko Art Museum

Kawaguchiko Museum of Art, located beside Lake Kawaguchi, exhibits artworks that uses Mt. Fuji as a prominent motif. Aside from the permanent exhibition, special exhibitions are held and they also exhibit the photography of Mt. Fuji. You can enjoy not only the artworks, but also an outstanding panoramic view of Lake Kawaguchi and Mt. Fuji. On the 14th of every month, the admission fee is free. They also exhibit various works from ancient to modern art in special exhibitions held four to five times a year. Make your own music box: Kawaguchiko Music Forest

Mansions and streets of medieval Europe stand by the banks of a lake overlooking the great Mt. Fuji. Kawaguchiko Music Forest is a museum of music where you can see things like the biggest dance organ in the world, automatic playing instruments that were originally meant to board the Titanic and antique music boxes. In the interactive workshop, it is even possible to make an original, one of a kind music box. Rose Garden

Learn about the tallest mountain: Mount Fuji World Heritage Center

Mount Fuji World Heritage Center, or Fujisan Sekai Isan Center is located at the foot of Mt. Fuji which is a part of Fuji-Hakone-Izu National Park. The facility shows a short movie about Mt. Fuji on a big screen and has comprehensive displays about nature and culture. The imposing Mt. Fuji can been seen from the observation deck on the second floor. It is famous as a great viewing spot of Mt. Fuji. The center offers a tour in foreign languages as it is designated as a "Visit Japan" information center.

The center has four zones where you can learn about Mt. Fuji. In the Geijutsu Tenji Zone (Art Exhibition Zone), Mt. Fuji-themed artwork is displayed. In the Shizen Tenji Zone (Nature Exhibition Zone), you learn about the history of the topography and the eruptions. In the Shinko Tenji Zone (Faith Exhibition Zone), you will be introduced to the structure of the World Heritage.
