The renowned Kyoto coffee shop, % Arabica, has now expanded its global footprint with the opening of its first two branches in Tokyo, located in the modern Azabudai Hills. Known for its iconic % logo, this café has a presence in 21 countries and 168 locations globally.

% Arabica distinguishes itself with its minimalist aesthetic, embracing an elegant palette of white and light brown, punctuated by its distinctive % logo. This design ethos not only reflects their commitment to simplicity but also complements their exceptional coffee.

At the heart of % Arabica's philosophy is their dedication to quality. The journey began with the acquisition of a coffee plantation in Hawaii, a step that marked the brand's foray into offering freshly roasted coffee beans. Emphasizing their commitment to excellence, these beans are meticulously roasted in Japan, crafting an espresso that has garnered international acclaim and resonates with the motto, “From Kyoto to the World.”

In this feature, we introduce the two branches that have opened in Tokyo.

This branch also features a delightful culinary collaboration: freshly baked bread from dacō. This bakery line, a brainchild of the highly acclaimed MAM DACOTAN, perfectly complements the coffee offerings.

Fans and connoisseurs of % Arabica might already be familiar with the story behind its logo. The % symbol, intriguingly, does not represent the traditional percentage sign. Instead, it draws inspiration from the coffee fruit and the branching patterns of the coffee tree, a creative interpretation that encapsulates the essence of the brand. This logo was conceptualized with the aim of achieving instant recognition – a goal it has successfully accomplished on a global scale

The % logo is more than just a brand identifier; it stands as a testament to the ethos of % Arabica – simplicity and a pared-down approach to life. It eschews unnecessary adornments, symbolizing the brand's commitment to purity, both in its visual representation and in its approach to coffee.
