Oko Falls

Oko Falls (Oko no Taki) is the tallest waterfall of the many waterfalls on Yakushima Island. The 88-meter fall is said to be the highest in southern Kyushu, and it is selected as one of Japan's Top 100 Waterfalls. Yakushima has a lot of rainfall as they say, "it rains 35 days a month." Oko Falls has an abundant flow of water, making it a very powerful waterfall. The view of the falls from the bottom is very impressive. There is abundant nature near the waterfall, and you will find many fish in the emerald green waterfall basin and aquatic birds near the falls. There is also a spring called Oko Spring (Oko Yusui) nearby.
