The over 100-year-old red brick warehouse (Akarenga Soko) is the symbol of Yokohama and also a representative tourist spot of this area. The brick building is 3 stories high and consists of hall 1, a cultural facility and hall 2, a commercial complex. Views of Yokohama port spread in the background of this retro red brick warehouse, making it a popular date spot. The night view is truly beautiful and surreal. Furthermore, hall 2 is filled with delicious restaurants and interesting goods stores. Take-out food is available too, so you can eat in the plaza of the Akarenga Soko looking at the ocean.

Akarenga Soko is at a slight distance from Minato Mirai district. For those who wish to avoid walking, it is recommended to take the bus Akai Kutsu. This is a bus that goes around the tourist spots of Yokohama bay area and reaches Akarenga Soko in 10 minutes from Minato Mirai (Adults 100 yen, children 50 yen).

Yokohama Cosmo World is an amusement park located in Minato Mirai. Along with its symbol the giant ferris wheel, it has numerous thrilling rides and also interactive attractions. The night view when the park gets illuminated is one of its highlights.
