Sumida Hokusai Museum

Katsushika Hokusai was a world famous master painter of the ukiyo-e tradition that lived in the late Edo period. The Sumida Hokusai Museum is a popular museum located in the birthplace of Hokusai in the Sumida Ward of Tokyo where numerous masterpieces and a recreated model of his studio are on display. There are electronic touch panels with explanations in English and Chinese located near the works of art, making this museum a great place for foreign travelers to enjoy learning more about the master painter, Hokusai.
