Brick Arch Bridge called "Megane Bashi (Glasses Bridge)": Japan's Biggest
Megane Bashi (glasses bridge) is a beautiful arch bridge made from red bricks combining art and technology and was completed in 1892. Five sections of the bridge, from the second to the sixth still remain, and are registered as an important cultural property. It is the first bridge in Japan to be built in this style and is also the biggest, 31 m in height and 91 m in length. Over 2 million bricks were used for its construction!

Old Usui Pass Observation Point
Old Usui Pass Observation Point is an observation park with a great view, located a few hundred meters south from Old Usui Pass. The border between Nagano and Gunma prefectures is here and on a sunny day, the view is remarkable. The spot is well known and always lively as a great viewing point. At times, you can even see a sea of clouds beneath. The night view is also a must-see!
