The restaurant run by a long-standing meat shop, Niku no Yonai is a popular Korean-style barbecue restaurant that has the longest history among many others in Iwate Prefecture. They serve the cold noodle dish, Morioka Reimen, a local specialty in Morioka, Iwate Prefecture. They stick to using homemade ingredients to make “Reimen” including the soup made from beef and chicken stock, noodle, kimchi, and even the meat topped on the noodles. They use high-quality Japanese black beef such as Maesawa beef, a famous brand of Iwate, and Yonezawa beef of Yamagata. The meat they serve is one of the best in Morioka.
