Netsu no Yu

Situated in front of Yubatake in Kusatsu Onsen hot springs, Netsu no Yu is a tourist facility that offers a performance of Yumomi and dance show. Yumomi is a traditional method of lowering the temperature of hot spring water without adding cool water. The hot water is cooled down to a certain temperature that is suitable for bathing. Yumomi musume or stirring ladies in traditional costumes sing Kusatsu Bushi (traditional song of Kusatsu) and stir the hot water rhythmically with a 1.8 m board. Audiences can not only see the performance but also join the show and experience Yumomi.
