"Miso ramen Yoshino Honten" is a well-established ramen restaurant, founded in 1968. Asahikawa ramen is one of the three popular ramen in Hokkaido, after Sapporo and Hakodate ramen. It is commonly known for ramen with soy-sauce based soup. Yet, as you can see from the name of the restaurant, the popular dish of this place is miso ramen! In fact, it is a place to eat if you wish to have a good miso ramen. The special soup is made of lard and garlic, which gives it a rich taste. By adding ginger and Chinese bean paste with spicy red pepper, it is a rich and spicy soup.
