(Source : pixta)
Kaike Onsen has around 30 onsen accommodations along the coast overlooking the Sea of Japan and is one of the top onsen towns in Tottori. It originates from when fishermen discovered the hot spring streaming from the ocean in 1900 and is popular for its good quality "hot salt water" coming from under the sea. Also, the beach opens in summer so that visitors can enjoy both the onsen as well as swimming in the ocean. As the water is of good quality, it is also recommendable to families with small children. Make sure to check out the beautiful sunset as well.
