Mt. Tsukuba

Mt. Tsukuba consisting of two peaks of Mt. Nantai and Mt. Nyotai is a mountain with the lowest altitude among the 100 most famous mountains in Japan. From the mountaintop to Miyukigahara, the broad leaved deciduous trees start changing colors in the beginning of November. In addition to the climbing trail, cable cars and ropeways are available as an easy access to the mountain top and the 1.5km pathway that goes around the peak of Mt. Nantai.

Access
Take a Tsukubasan shuttle bus from Tsukuba Station on Tsukuba Express. Ride for 40 minutes. Get off at Tsukubasan Jinja Iriguchi. Or ride for 50 minutes and get off at Tsutsujigaoka.
