Every year from late November through early April, visitors enjoy an event of "Ganso Capybara no Roten-buro" or capybaras in an outdoor bath. The event is held once a day on weekdays and twice a day on weekends and holidays. The capybara look very relaxed and happy in the bath, and it is the most popular attraction in this park. The shoebill is well known for its habit of standing motionless for a long period of time. Grandpa Bill is the oldest shoebill in the world and has been living here for 35 years. Everyday, he takes a walk very slowly through the park. He is very smart and bows to familiar people. So say hi to him when you see him.

The large park features canals and eight man-made islands of various sizes. A wide variety of animals in a natural setting can be seen from the boat. This tour is highly recommended because it is a very unique attraction in Japan.
