Chokurian is a long-standing soba (buckwheat noodle) restaurant established in 1884. It is famous for its “wanko-soba”, a specialty in Morioka, Iwate Prefecture. “Wanko-soba” is served in a unique manner. The customer is served soba in a little bowl, and the bowl is refilled quickly by the server as soon as the customer empties it. It is so entertaining that many tourists come to try it. They also offer a wide range of soba dishes as well as Chinese noodles. They take pride in the traditional, simple taste of their soba. They are served with lots of seasonings that enable you to enjoy your soba in many ways.
