Cafe Axolotl

Cafe Axolotl is near Takegawara onsen. Takegawara onsen is one of the eight different springs in Beppu, Oita and the oldest among them. Beppu is one of the most famous hot spring resorts in Japan and is blessed by the largest number and quantity of hot springs. The cafe is located in a renovated and old Japanese-style inn built over 90 years ago. When walking through the stone pavement to the entrance, you will enjoy its nostalgic interior as if you traveled back to the Showa period. Axolotl offers delicious coffee, light dishes, and desserts.
