Located near Kintetsu Toba Station, Amagoya Toba Hamanami has been run by a former Ama diver (a female diver who makes living harvesting shellfish and seaweeds) for over 40 years. The restaurant is a re-creation of an Amagoya (hut) where they rest and warm themselves up after diving. You can enjoy local fresh seafood in season including Ise Ebi lobster and abalone for reasonable prices at this restaurant. They offer extremely fresh seafood dishes like sashimi a la carte and a rice bowl with sashimi as well as charcoal grilled seafood that is prepared by an Ama in front of you.
