Oshima Sushi is a more than 50-year long-established sushi restaurant located near Ugata Station on Kintetsu Railway, which is popular among local people. Oshima Sushi serves not only sushi dishes made with fresh local seafood from Ise Shima, but also various set dishes and a la carte dishes. The restaurant’s name on the curtain at the entrance expresses that it is a sushi restaurant, but there are a wide variety of items on the menu such as Ebi Fry (Fried Prawn), Cream Croquette, Fried Chicken, Unagidon (rice bowl topped with eel), etc. Among these, their pufferfish dishes offered only from October to March are superb! Oshima Sushi is also known as the best long-established pufferfish restaurant in Shima.

They use fresh seafood from Ise Shima! Especially regarding pufferfish served only in winter, they use only Mie’s branded pufferfish, “Anori Fugu” which are natural tiger puffer caught in the sea from Ise Bay to Kumano Coast and Enshu Coast and weigh more than 700 g.

As they use tiger puffer fish swimming in the live box installed in the restaurant until ordered, their freshness is amazing! They have a light flavor and are chewy.
