Standing on the banks of Nagaragawa, a river famous for ukai (cormorant fishing), Usho-no-ie Sugiyama is an onsen accommodation that has been managed by and passed down through multiple generations of usho (cormorant fishermen) and has been catching popularity for its restaurant that is open to the public as well. In the restaurant, you can savor exquisite ayu (trout) and wild duck dishes after enjoying the view on one of Japan's top 100 famous waters Nagaragawa, Gifu's symbol Mt. Kinka and Gifu Castle. By dining in the restaurant, you also get free entry into the onsen facility so make sure to stop by!
