Nadai Kishimen Sumiyoshi Noodle Shop on the Shinkansen Nobori Train Platform

(Source : 食べログ)
The Nadai Kishimen Sumiyoshi noodle shop on the nobori shinkansen train platform is a tachigui-style (standing) noodle shop located on the shinkansen (bullet train) platform in the JR Nagoya Station that is so popular some people get off the train partway on their journey just to get a bite. The first thing that may catch your attention is the ticket vending machine standing just outside the storefront which shows a vast variety of dishes for amazingly cheap prices. The kishimen noodles priced from 350 yen a bowl include variations such as sukiyaki style curry and those with toppings like the famous Nagoya specialty of Cochin chicken. Another great point of this shop is the swiftness with which your order is delivered after handing over the ticket bought from the vending machine out front. Even if you only have a short time between train transfers you can still taste some kishimen which is considered one of the most delicious representatives of Nagoya cuisine.

The soup broth made daily from seafood stock offers a genuine taste with rich flavor and a refreshing aftertaste. The flavor of the fresh handmade noodles is preserved by keeping them in the freezer and pulling them out to be boiled upon ordering so you can have high quality soft and springy kishimen noodles whenever you drop by the shop.
