Hayashiya is a Japanese-style café located on a street that retains traditional themes on Miyajima Island. The café was opened by a famous oyster restaurant, Yakigaki no Hayashi. The café provides a traditional Japanese-style atmosphere. Hayashiya has a wide range of Japanese sweets, including green tea parfait, roasted green tea parfait, gelato, sake lees cake, shaved ice. The café serves lovely dishes for lunch as well.

Hayashiya-style Matcha Parfait （1,180 yen） comes with a cute deer cookie on top. Miyajima is home to many deer. You can enjoy not only the rich taste but also the beautiful appearance of the parfait. It is a gorgeous parfait, including green tea and milk gelato, a piece of homemade roll cake, homemade sweet red bean paste, Shiratama （dumplings made from glutinous rice flour）, a chestnut, black beans, a slice of sweet potato.

Matcha Cappuccino （600 yen） combines frothy creamy milk and distinctive Matcha green tea flavor. It is served in a Matcha tea bowl, nearly the same size as a latte bowl. You can also add sugar in your cappuccino if you like.
