Hakone Gora Park

Hakone Gora Park has a history of more than 100 years and was registered as a tangible cultural property of Japan in 2014. It is the first French-style garden in Japan with a pond and flowerbeds arranged symmetrically. There are various kinds of plants in the park including flowers of each season. There are many enjoyable facilities such as the tea room that serves green tea, tropical flora house that exhibits rare plants all through the year, and a hands-on workshop where you can make original mugs.

Rare Plants

Tropical flora house and the herb garden has a range of rare tropical plants and herbs. You can see various tall trees and beautiful flowers inside. They even have a small waterfall, the sound of which will make you relax while you stroll around. It is an indoor facility you can enjoy even on rainy days.

There is a tea room that was built in 1922 where you can have green tea. You can sip on tea in a relaxed atmosphere and experience Japanese traditional culture. Nowadays, this facility is well-known among foreign tourists and many people enjoy this activity.

Make Your Original Goods

A hands-on workshop in the park offers you various craft experiences. You can blow molten glass into a bubble, or sandblast the glass to create a pattern. Enjoy creating your original artwork that can be found nowhere in the world.
