Since the end of COVID-19, Japan has become a popular destination for travelers from around the world. Additionally, the value of the yen in 2024 has continued to decline, making it an attractive and affordable time to visit Japan.

In this feature, we introduce SANU 2nd Home, a home subscription service, which is also a great option for tourists. SANU 2nd Home has branches in major tourist destinations throughout Japan, such as Kawaguchiko, Yamanakako, and Karuizawa. Many more branches are planned for 2024, including locations in Niseko, Tateyama, and Izu. This accommodation is popular among both domestic and international tourists.

SANU 2nd Home was created with the vision of harmonious living with nature, enabling people and the environment to coexist seamlessly. It offers a new and enjoyable way of life that is environmentally friendly. The accommodations are conveniently located near major cities, allowing members to drive to any branch across the country by paying a monthly membership fee. This gives them the feeling of having a second home amidst beautiful natural surroundings, including the sea, mountains, and lakes.

The architecture of SANU 2nd Home is particularly noteworthy. The entire structure is made of wood, constructed without the use of nails or glue. It blends naturally into its surroundings and can be disassembled and decomposed without harming the environment. The featured accommodation in this feature is from Lake Shirakaba (白樺湖) in Nagano Prefecture.
