Tokyo can be quite expensive for shopping but did you know there are plenty of secondhand and antique stores in the city? One such spot is Shimokitazawa, which has always been popular for its cool, fashion vibes and hipster style. A couple of train stops from Shibuya, Shimokitazawa has a buzzing culture. KINJI

This store is well known among the many secondhand stores. The main products are European and American fashion brands available at a reasonable price.

You will find some unique printed vintage shirts for men and women.

Other than clothing, you can also pick up shoes, accessories, antique dolls, belts and bags.

You can try all the items here before purchase. How cool are these used Dr. Martins?

A good spot to buy well-used products without spending too much.

Trefac Style

The entrance to this store may give the impression that its small but it actually stretches all the way to the back.

The stuff at Trefac Style is relatively high end. There are many high-fashion brands from around the world as well as famous Japanese brands; most of the items here are in relatively good condition.

The products are divided based on price range and expensive items are at the front while cheaper products (usually fast fashion) are at the rear.

There is a huge flamingo installation by the wall at the entrance of the store. There are several branches located close by so you can check them all out.

The products are displayed particularly well here. Everything seems to be organized.
