A short walk from Roppongi Midtown is the Sogetsu Kaikan designed by the famous Kenzo Tange. It functions as the headquarters of the Sogetsu Ikebana school.
Within this gorgeous building is Connel Coffee on the second floor. A long stone and wood table stands in front of the serving area overlooking Takahashi Korekiyo Memorial Park. For a moment, you will forget that you are in the heart of Tokyo.
You can choose from the standard coffee options like cappuccino, latte, etc. as well as nibble on sandwiches or muffins.
In case the seats are full here, you have the option of heading up to the third floor that functions as a lounge. Facing the Akasaka Palace Grounds, the reflective surfaces of this structure create the effect of being surrounded by green. Even if you don't plan to have coffee, you can enjoy this lounge.
The first floor functions as an art gallery and is designed by Isamu Noguchi like a rock garden.
You can also buy products like crockery and cutlery, ceramics as well as coffee.
