teamLab: Digitized Lakeside and Forest @metsa
teamLab is known for its fantastically magical interactive digital artworks. Earlier this year, the MORI Building DIGITAL ART MUSEUM: teamLab Borderless, the first of its kind, was opened in Odaiba. In this feature, we introduce the newest exhibit called "teamLab: Digitized Lakeside and Forest" which launched on December 1, 2018, in Saitama Prefecture. Metsa, meaning forest in Finnish, is a newly opened facility that transports you to the world of Northern Europe. The exhibition focuses on "Nature is art." The best time to visit is after five when the lights come on. The exhibit features colored balloons the size of a person spread across the natural surroundings around Lake Miyazawa. You can see the trees lit up too creating a magical world. This show is held at the lake forest of metsa in Hanno, Saitama Prefecture. You can watch the digital art show in nature. The light and colors of the balloons changes as people approach it! A unique exhibit that seamlessly blends with the landscape. When you approach a balloon, its color changes. If you have an evening free, this is a definite must-visit if you're visiting Tokyo!
