A twist on the classic shortcake!!

When you think of a shortcake, strawberry comes to mind but tomato!?

Normally a shortcake is made using strawberry but this one in Japan has tomatoes!
That's not all; its a low carb cake! A normal shortcake has 46.5 g of sugar but this tomato shortcake has only 7.7. g!! The card on the cake states how much sugar it has so its easy to understand. You can find this yummy treat at Patisserie Potager in Setagaya in Tokyo. There are many other sweets apart from this shortcake that are low in carbs. For those of you who love sweets but don't want to eat high carb desserts, this is the place for you. It's perfect for mums who don't want their kids to eat super sweet desserts either.

Roll cake: Sugar content 15 g

Made from bean flour, tomato cream and tomato juice.

Tiramisu : Sugar content 7.5 g

Potatoes added in a tiramisu with non-caffeine coffee and mascarpone cheese.

Pudding: Sugar content 7.4 g

This bright pudding is made from pumpkin.

Chocolate Cake: Sugar content 6.6 g
