Sakasa Mt. Fuji (Upside-down or inverted Mt. Fuji) refers to the reflection of Mt. Fuji on the surface of a lake combined with the whole view of Mt. Fuji and its surrounding natural environment. This view can be seen from two prefectures: from Yamanashi, around the five lakes of Fuji namely Yamanakako, Kawaguchiko, Motosuko, and from Shizuoka, the Tanukiko. Depending on place, season, weather and time, this scene changes, and the fact that you can’t see the same sight again is surely one of the main reasons why upside-down Mt. Fuji attracts people.
In order to clearly see Mt. Fuji, the weather must be clear and the water surface absolutely still. It’s advisable to check the weather conditions beforehand to avoid disappointment.

Fuji is covered with snow, and the air is clear and dry, so the chances of seeing Mt. Fuji from far away are higher. Generally, the best season is to be said from December to March.
