How to get to central Tokyo from Haneda Airport
There are mainly 3 transportation options to reach the city center from Haneda Airport. We provide information about Tokyo Monorail, Keikyu Line, and Limousine Bus.
Keikyu Line-A Direct Train into the City
Keikyu Line links Haneda Airport directly to Mishima Peninsula. The train in the Shinagawa direction, takes you to Asakusa Station and Nihonbashi (Nihombashi) Station. It also stops at Oshiage Station, location of the famous Tokyo Skytree. It takes 19 minutes to reach Shinagawa Station and costs 410 yen, 24 minutes to Yokohama station and costs 450 yen. It stops at many stations where you can easily change trains and transfer to the Japan Railway (JR) or Subway lines. You can also save time by choosing “Local,” “Express” or “Limited Express” lines depending on destination. Before getting on the train, make sure it stops at your destination. Although you take a train that goes to the right direction, the line branches out in various directions. You can also save some money by buying a 1, 2 or 3-day Subway pass and use the subway for unlimited rides during its validity.

Tokyo Monorail – Exciting train journey overlooking Tokyo Bay
Tokyo Monorail runs every 3 to 5 minutes, so you can take a train anytime without having to wait for long. From Haneda Airport to Hamamatsucho Station, the terminal station, it only takes 19 minutes and costs 490 yen. From Hamamatsucho Station, you can easily transfer to train lines like the Yamanote Line or Oedo Line. It costs 340 yen to reach Tennouzu Airu station, which is one station before the terminal station. Here, you can transfer to the Rinkai Line which will take you to Tokyo Oedo Onsen Monogatari or to Odaiba. Special as well as bargain tickets like 1-day tickets are also available on the Rinkai Line.

Limousine Buses – extremely practical depending on destination
Operated by Tokyo Airport Transportation and Keihin Kyuko Bus, Limousine Bus takes you directly to your destination without having to transfer. It takes about 30 minutes to 1 hour from Haneda Airport to reach the Tokyo area. It only costs 1,000 yen for a distance of 30-km. Since each operating company takes you to specific destinations, it is extremely practicable. Since it is travelling by road, you cannot rule out traffic jams. Therefore, it’s better to make sure you have enough time to arrive at your destination.
