Shiraito Falls is a part of the heritage assets of the World Heritage Mount Fuji. The waterfall is 150 m wide and 20 m high. 1.5 tons of water flows down every minute. The spring water from Mount Fuji forms hundreds of large and small waterfalls producing a refreshing impression. The name Shiraito (white threads) came from the waterfalls which look like white silk threads hung from the curved cliff. It is designated as national place of scenic beauty and a natural monument.
