Impressive Giant Fish Tank
Inochi Kirameku Umi (ocean shimmering with life), the giant tank reproducing one of the world's top three fishing grounds Sanriku ocean, has an impressive scale of 6.5 m height and 13 m width. The 25,000 marine animals of about 50 different kinds swimming elegantly underneath the natural lighting is a fascinating view.

Sensational Dolphin and Sea Lion Performances
Dolphin and sea lion shows are held in Umino-mori Stadium, the largest one in Tohoku with about 1,000 seats. Viewers are at a close proximity with the animals and can view them right in front, as there are no acrylic fences in between. One performance lasts around 20 minutes and is held about 5-7 times in a day.

Interactive "Friendly Time" with Animals
During the "Friendly Time," when penguins and otaria (sea lions) come up to the audience, guests can pet and interact directly with the animals. Times change depending on the season so make sure to check on the website in advance.

In addition to performances and interactive shows, there are several different activities called option programs. Activities include guided backstage tours of the aquarium and petting dolphins while taking pictures with them. Surely everybody of all age groups can have fun from small children to adults.
