Kinosaki Onsen

Kinosaki in Toyooka, Hyogo, is an area that was developed with Kinosaki Onsen as its center. As the main activity of Kinosaki is yumeguri (bath-hopping) of seven outdoor baths, the town developed around the areas connecting these seven baths. There are numerous arcades and souvenir shops where you can have fun after bathing. On the outskirts, there are also many spots where you can interact with nature, such as a geopark and an aquarium. The area has gained popularity as a place to enjoy a typical Japanese onsen town.

Be the First in Line?! Bath-hopping

At Kinosaki Onsen, there are seven outside baths; Ichinoyu, Jizo-yu, Sato-no-Yu, Mandara-Yu, Gosho-no-Yu, Ko-no-Yu and Yanagi-Yu, and a popular activity is to go bath-hopping between them. For overnight guests, there is a "bath-hopping pass," which you can pay for at your accommodation, or for a day trip, there is also a one day pass. Every bathhouse gives out a "No.1 certificate" for the first person to get in every day, which will make a great souvenir for your trip.
