Sake Bar Kamada is a bar that specializes in Hokkaido-made sake (Japanese rice wine) and food made from Hokkaido-produced ingredients. The owner of the bar is famous as a sake taster and Hokkaido sommelier, and carries local sake from all over Hokkaido, stacking the shelves with over 300 different kinds! This bar specializes not only in local Hokkaido sake, but also food made with Hokkaido-grown ingredients to the extent that all materials aside from the olive oil are produced in Hokkaido. There are lots of delicious Hokkaido specialties to be found on the side menu as well including “sake-toba” (500 yen) which is made from half-cuts of local aki-aji salmon that are sliced thin, washed with saltwater and then dried, as well as homemade “ezo-shika” jerky (800 yen) made from local deer meat.
